The Dormy Clubhouse, Gleneagles

The Dormy Clubhouse was one of the earliest projects that we had undertaken with our client Macaulay Sinclair for the world-famous Gleneagles Hotel. The complete refurbishment for the Dormy Clubhouse restaurant and the retail area was completed in April.

The refurbishment of the Dormy Clubhouse aim also was the evocation of nostalgia, with inspiration from classical retail arcades with rows of moulded timber doors that open up during the day to serve golfers. The lighting throughout maintained a vintage feel, with use of brass finishing, and having an old-school sensibility.

A mix of pendant, globe wall and task lighting situated in the dining area casts just the right amount of downward light with robust metal shades. The table lamps feature a living finish that will patina over time; perfect for the interior design scheme and brief.
