Lightsource’s Decorative Team were commissioned to source lighting for one of Ireland’s oldest pubs, with a brief to respect the building’s historic character while complementing its refreshed interiors.

From the outset, traditional-style fittings were carefully selected to sit comfortably alongside the original architectural details. In the main bar, five-arm glass chandeliers are suspended between exposed timber beams, drawing the eye upward towards the large skylight above. Prismatic glass globes softly diffuse the light, reinforcing the pub’s classic aesthetic. The newly redecorated dining area features an eclectic mix of wall lights, picture lights and fixed table lamps, creating layered warmth and a relaxed, lived-in atmosphere. The final scheme enhances the character of the space, allowing the historic setting to remain the focus.
