Why Choose Lutron Lighting Controls?
Lutron RA2 lighting controls are a revolutionary lighting control and smart home product from Lutron, offering a range of features and benefits that can transform your home lighting. RA2 lighting controls provide exceptional energy savings and increased comfort and convenience. The RA2 system uses a radio-frequency technology that Lutron call ‘Clear Connect’ to wirelessly synchronise lights, dimmers and window shades. This technology allows users to control the lights in their home from anywhere, either with a handheld remote, smartphone app or smart home hub.
The RA2 system also provides improved energy efficiency, with the ability to create individual lighitng and dimming schedules for each room, or to create a single schedule for multiple rooms. The system also allows users to adjust the brightness of each light from the comfort of their own home. In addition to its convenience and energy savings, the RA2 system also offers a variety of safety features. The system is UL compliant, meaning it meets all safety standards and is safe to use. The system also includes a motion sensor, which can detect motion and turn lights off or on automatically. This feature provides an added layer of security, as it can alert you when motion is detected in your home.
Energy Efficiency
Lutron RA2 lighting controls can help you reduce your energy consumption and save money on your energy bills. The system allows you to control your lighting and shading automatically or remotely, so you can ensure that your lights are only on when you need them. Additional daylight sensors can ensure that your home is perfectly lit at all points throughout the day, and ensure your lighting and shading control is optimised for energy efficiency.
Convenience & Comfort
With Lutron RA2 lighting controls, you can easily control your home lighting and shading from a central location, such as a wall-mounted keypad, mobile app, voice control or smart home hub. The Lutron systems are compatible with a huge number of popular smart home control systems. This allows you to create personalised lighting scenes for different activities, like reading or watching TV, and adjust your lighting to match your mood. Different lighting scenes are especially important in multi-activity areas of your house, for example: you will want a different amount of light and atmosphere for when you are cooking and eating your meal. You will want a different lighting scenario for when you are getting ready in the morning and going to sleep in your bedroom. The possibilities are endless.
Security
Lutron RA2 lighting controls also offer enhanced security features, including occupancy and vacancy sensors that turn lights on when you enter a room and turn them off when you leave. This can help deter burglars and make your home feel more secure. You can also connect Lutron systems to outdoor lighting. Outdoor lighting has been proven to be one of the most effective home security features, so why not control it too? Sensors can pick up motion and turn on outdoor lighting. For added comfort, you could have a sensor at the end of your driveway that illuminates your path to your door at night.
Scalability
The Lutron RA2 system is scalable, meaning you can add new devices and functionality as needed. Whether you want to add new lighting or shading zones, integrate with other smart home devices, or upgrade your system to support new technologies, the Lutron RA2 system can accommodate your needs. A huge bonus is the fact that you do not have to track your walls to add extra switches as all control is wireless.
Aesthetics
Lutron RA2 lighting controls are designed to be sleek and modern, with customisable faceplates and buttons that can match your decor. The range of finishes available for both the wall controls and remote controls is extensive, with quality materials used for all of the available options. See the images above for some examples. The system can also be integrated with Lutron’s motorised shading solutions, which can help enhance the look and feel of your home while also improving energy efficiency and comfort.
