The BRAND NEW Hard Rock Hotel, Dublin
The new Hard Rock Hotel is situated in a listed red brick building on the corner of Exchange Street. The traditional architectural features and luxurious interior presents a celebration of the rich cultural and musical history of the Irish capital. The 120 bedrooms are finished with warm woods and stone materials that complement the striking colour palette of the walls and soft materials. The extensive collection of musical memorabilia makes every corner and corridor of the hotel unique.
Lightsource completed the Hard Rock Hotel in 2019, along side Michael Nugent Electrical Contractors. Extensive planning and design from both teams at and Lightsource and Michael Nugent, have created a hotel that is truly fit for rock stars! Stay in a luxury suite with a private terrace or dine in a ‘paparazzi free’ booth to make it an experience you will never forget.
From the moment you set foot in the reception area of the Hard Rock Hotel, you instantly realise you are staying somewhere very special. The edge lighting that surrounds the reception desk and multiple spotlights behind give the impression of a stage at a rock concert!
The lobby showcases memorabilia with an Irish connection. From Irish artists such as U2, The Script & the Cranberries, to artists that have played epic and memorable concerts on the Emerald Isle. Kurt Cobain’s sweatshirt takes pride of place in the lobby’s collection.
The bar at the Hard Rock continues the ‘Bohemian retro’ feel. Lightsource commissioned a huge bespoke musical symbol on the ceiling with hundreds of glass pendants hanging from the metal track. This scale of customised track lighting was a first for Lightsource!
Guests are expected to forget the burgers and shakes of the non-related Hard Rock Cafe when it comes to dining, patrons are treated to a gourmet menu in the finest of settings. More unique lighting takes centre stage with wall brackets supporting large pendants over individual tables and large chandeliers cleverly positioned along the centre line of the ceiling.
Lightsource contributed bespoke light fittings in all 120 bedrooms. You won’t see these lights anywhere else!
