CTO Lighting
CTO Lighting was founded in 1998 by Chris and Clare Turner. They launched their first collection with the principles of designing lights of uncompromising quality, using only the finest materials and working with elite British craftworkers. They aim to symbolise elegance and the excellence of British design and manufacturing in their products.
The CEO, Chris, an engineer by training, gained great technical expertise to design and manufacture lighting with meticulous detail. Clare, Creative Director, formerly worked in fashion and has provided invaluable design and commercial expertise.
Realising there was a demand for more premium, contemporary lighting , Chris and Clare focused on more luxurious materials in their fixtures. This led them to use hand finished brass, mouth blown glass and artisan crafted stone. This refinement in the use of materials enabled CTO Lighting to be recognised as a contemporary, luxury lighting company, manufacturing in the UK.
CTO Lighting has worked with leading industry figures including; David Collins Studio, Philippe Starck and Martin Brudnizki Design Studio. CTO Lighting has also been commissioned for The Savoy Hotel, The Dorchester London, St Pancras Renaissance Hotel and Chiltern Firehouse. The company has also worked with respected and award winning designers; Autoban, Michaël Verheyden and Stéphane Parmentier.
In 2016, CTO Lighting opened its first exclusive Showroom in London. The CTO Lighting collection is now distributed globally to some of the foremost design-led retailers and works with leading international interior designers and architects.
Avalon
This elegant chandelier is inspired by the legendary island Avalon, from where mystical stories of light and shadows have enchanted the world. AVALON showcases cascades of light emanating from a ring of alabaster, encapsulated in brass or bronze creating an exquisite illumination.
It comes in three forms; medium, large and halo. These are all customisable so you can find the perfect option for your home or high end business.
