A Bangor Family’s SOS is answered

The McCreight family from Bangor, Co Down – Mum, Mandy, two kids, Ben and Kara, who have varying complex health needs and their carer dad Davey, reached out to the BBC DIY SOS show to undertake a sizeable project to turn a house which was totally unfit for the family’s many medical needs, into a place they could call home!

So, when a leaflet drop came through the door of our sales director’s Anthony Brown’s home, Lightsource happily donated lighting products and our lighting design services to the McCreight family, as part of a life-changing transformation of their home.

On Thursday 27th June 2019, on a scorching hot day in the seaside town, the Big Build DIY SOS squad had just finished a gruelling week of renovating the house for the family, and suppliers and tradespeople from all over Northern Ireland were invited to the Big Reveal.

It was such an emotional day for everyone, and we can say that it was inspiring to see what can be achieved when businesses give their time and services freely. The people of Northern Ireland truly are wonderful. We look forward to seeing the show when it is aired.
