About
People who understand light.
Who we are
Lightsource combines design, technical expertise, logistics, and dedicated customer support to deliver projects efficiently from concept to completion.
We work with brands and artisans to source or create the right lighting for the job, then support every step from concept through to delivery.
Led by Anthony
Anthony founded Lightsource to close the gap between lighting consultancy and product supply. With over 20 years of experience, he has a strong understanding of the industry and has travelled extensively to source the best lighting technology to Northern Ireland and further afield.
Built around collaboration
We believe lighting works best when it’s considered early and shaped collaboratively. Our clients trust us to think with them, not just for them, and to provide honest, experienced input that improves outcomes.
Our portfolio will show you our extensive experience with domestic, residential and commercial projects.
How it all started
Arthur Brown, a fisherman turned entrepreneur, opened Northern Ireland’s first commercial lighting showroom in the 1980s. His sons, Richard and Anthony, grew up immersed in the business, learning the trade from an early age.
Our showroom
Our showroom is located in a converted linen mill in East Belfast, a creative space where modern lighting meets industrial character. We use it to display the latest architectural and decorative lighting trends, host client consultations, and test new ideas.
